If you had to limit yourself to only five Spooks pairings, what would they be? )

There's another one to go, but I need to collect some quotes first. If you want me to make a list you can comment here

Quick Meme - I have a driving lesson soon:

You post a topic, list, category, whatever, in my comments section.(examples: "5 Reasons Snape Gets Out of Bed in the Morning" or "Top 5 Obscure Divination Techniques that Sybil Trelawney Tried Unsuccessfully to Teach"). Then, in a separate post, I'll post the answers to all yourTop 5 ideas, according to me. Then you post this offer in your own journal.

Go on. Give it a go. Ask me anything . . .

Book 7: Contact Zero by David Wolstencroft

They were punching him in the face and all he could think of was Jon Bon Jovi.

As the cartilage of his nose dissolved under a shitstorm of brass knuckle blows, Ben found it impossible to rid his mind of the chorus to 'Livin' on a Prayer'. They were going to kill him, and it occured to him suddenly that, if they succeeded, this was the last song he would ever hear. It made him more determined than ever to keep his heart beating.

I con Meme The Meme is Here. Lots of Icons you haven't seen yet! )

I want to do an end of year post. Anyone seen a good meme?

So, I've done the first line of the month meme. Now for the fic wrap up.

All in all it was a Spooks heavy, but low output year. I suppose the heavy uni load, plus the prac work stopped me from writing as much as some years. Breakdown is:

Harry Potter: 1
Buffy the Vampire Slayer: 1
Spooks: 10

I also wrote a bunch of Spooks drabbles for a certain reason, plus most of a Sisterhood story that I haven't finished.

Further breakdowns: )

I like this form of wrap up:

January: I promised some pictures from my new digital camera.
February: Did you miss me?
March: Well the university year has begun.
April: Concert was great. (Ben Folds)
May: The six beers last night were not my fault.
June: One of my students brought me a paw paw today - so, so good
July: I begin my final prac tomorrow and I am not at all prepared.
August: 10 years ago: 13 years old, right in the middle of grade nine. (from a meme)
September: One of the world's most disorganised lecturers is putting together this huge conference for us last year students.
October: 25 Killed, 100 Wounded in Bali Explosions
November: The university is done. Completed. I don't have to go back there again. I have done the last exam of that degree.
December: Warn people that your fic is gonna be fem slash you sicko! (My first homophobic feedback from ff.net!)

Off to finish Chrissy presents

I still don't know what to post about John Spencer's death. But I began watching season one West Wing today, and I remembered that Andrew Jackson had a two-tonne hunk of cheese in the main foyer of the White House for any and all who might be hungry.

10 Things Here )

As the subject line suggests, I'll update my mad weekend later. Then those people on my nano filter will hear a bit about my characters as I try to form them a little better.

But now - a meme snabbed from [livejournal.com profile] melliyna

If you had to write an owner's manual for yourself for someone else to read, what are five things (at least) you know you would include (silly, serious, Highly Important, etc.)?

1. I am a perfectionist when it comes to academia. I rage, rant, cry and throw tantrums when I don't think I'm doing a good enough job or I can't 'get it'. I'm awful to be around during assignment writing periods, like last week. I'm even worse to be around when I get assignments back. The best bit about university finishing? The end of assignments for a couple of years, at least.

2. I love to dance. I stand in ballet positions. I dance in public. I can be deeply embarrassing.

3. My family - grandparents, aunts and uncles, parents, sisters, cousins - all have varying levels of insanity. Sometimes it manifests in creative ways - making small teddy bears, doll houses, model trains, running a newspaper - other times it is more crazy - karate and lego leap to mind *g*. Crazy they might be, and very loud as well, but I love them all.

4. I like children. I've worked with them for 10 years now, and I plan to work with them for another 20 years or so. Children are more open and I think I understand them more than adults.

5. I adore Ben Folds. sit me down with a Ben Folds CD and I'd be happy for hours. Sit me down with Ben Folds and I'd probably die of happiness. It's sad, but true.

Your turn *g*
