It's all
rebisms fault. She gave me the letter 't'
TunbubudlaMy house at school. We got the colour of maroon, and the distinction of being the loudest house, even if we rarely won anything (the only thing we won while I was there was the Junior swimming carnival. I was one of those terribly overenthusiastic losers - even when my butterfuly stroke was christened - 'the flying mosquito'
Tap DancingOne of my favourite things to do. I always thought I was awful at it, until I finished dancing and realised that my old dance school was very, very good at tapping. I just liked the noise.
TutusMy mum made me the first one. It was white and pink and matched my best friends in everyway - except hers was twice as big (tall) as mine
Teddy BearsTalking of my mother . . .
I'm not sure how many of you know this, but my mother designs and sews miniature teddy bears in felt, fur and leather. She started this not long after I was born, and blames it completely on me. There's an interesting element to growing up trying not to sit on various teddy bear pieces around the house.
TeachingSomething I love. I began teaching dance at the age of 14, and haven't looked back since. After I finished my arts degree I began contemplating what I could 'do' with my life - teaching just seemed inevitable.
Tummy-AcheSadly a part of my life since I was born. I've suffered reflux all my life, was operated for that at 6 months old (that was a stuff up), and was operated on for a hernia last year, as a result of the first operation.
TheatreI love a night at the theatre - especially ballets or plays
TreesBefore I was eight, we lived in inner-city Brisbane - literally the last house before the city. We had one measly tree. Then my parents moved us to this strange, rural place where there were trees everywhere (and snakes, toads, spiders, mice . . . ) My favourite trees are Macadamia Nut trees, which dominate my parents' place.
TrainsOh, the time that I've spent on trains. I used to curl up in the luggage compartment to do my Greek homework.
Third PlaceThe highest I ever scored in a dance eisteddfod. I was so thrilled by this result, because I came equal with one of the best ballet dancers on the coast. I think it's because of the tutu which my mother had covered with sequins . . .
Comment on this entry and I will give you a letter. Write ten words beginning with that letter in your LJ, including an explanation what the word means to you and why, and then pass out letters to those who want to play along.
