10 things I assume you know about me

melwilStolen from everyone. 10 things I assume you know about me . . .
1. I like children. Not all the time - we've all come across children we could easily throttle, and in teaching you tend to come across more of these, like the kid that tried to hit me with a relay baton. But, all in all I like children, I like teaching children and I would like to have children.
2. I've been teaching dancing for 10 years. I run my own dance school for children aged 2 and 1/2 upwards. It's one of the best things I do.
3. I don't consider myself a gen, slash, het or femslash writer. I write a bit of everything depending on where the characters take me.
4. My favourite colour is green.
5. I live in Brisbane, which is in Queensland, which is in Australia. I wear thongs (flip flops), drink XXXX Bitter, and like a good bbq. I cheer for the Maroons and from time to time I think Queensland should become separate from the rest of Australia because I can deal with Peter Beattie better than I can deal with John Howard and Brendan Nelson.
5a. I detest Brendan Nelson. I have found no redeeming qualities in the man.
6. My extended family doesn't know the meaning of the words 'grow up'. My Grandmother collects, plays with and writes books about dolls and toys, my grandfather makes fantastic models for model trains, assisted by my uncle. My other uncle collects toy cars and the youngest uncle collects lego (he married my aunt who writes fan fiction). My mother makes teddy bears as a living. I had no real choice but to start collecting dolls . . .
7. I like making things. I knit, scrapbook, make dolls clothes. I want to make a series of pop culture outfits beginning with Buffy. I made a Malory Towers uniform yesterday.
8. I have many fandoms. Buffy, Spooks, West Wing, Billy Elliot, M*A*S*H, Anne of Green Gables, Harry Potter, Sisterhood of the Travelling Pants, and hopefully Veronica Mars
