1891 - Thomas Edison patents the radio.

1934 - The first college basketball game at New York City's Madison Square Garden is played between the University of Notre Dame and New York University.

Births

Hah. I didn't do this meme because for the longest time I had a book called the Birthday Encyclopedia (or something like that) and I already knew absolutely everything remotely cool to have happened on my birthday.

F'rinstance I share my birthday with Lord Byron, John Hurt, and....Rasputin.

Hahahahaha.
