So . . .

Well I haven't updated for a while. Sorry. Many reasons, most of them not really what I want to talk about. Nothing to do with uni though, obviously.

Tomorrow night I'm off to see Ben to the Power of Three (Ben Kweller, Ben Lee and my personal favourite - BEN FOLDS!). In preperation for that I'm listening to all my Ben Folds Five and Ben Folds CD's and washing my Ben Folds shirt (to be worn with jeans and blue boots) I'm not quite as excited as I should be, but I'm getting there.

lizbee bought a fantastic HP and CoS poster yesterday and it's currently looking lovely on the living room wall. Today she's looking for a Hermione Polyjuice Potion poster for me.

Reading a lot at the moment. Books that I've borrowed from Liz and missmartin, The Hours, Queen Kat St Jude and Carmel Get a Life, some Enid Blyton and The Fellowship of the Rings. Not getting through any of them particularly quick though - having a hard time concentrating on them all.

Submitted HP fics to Fiction Alley and fanfic.net today. Cross your fingers for Fiction Alley for me.

Just a few silly things

I was having a good day - lots of fic put online, right in the mood for writing, and then . . .

I was getting some nutella from the cupboard when it slipped from my hand. Like the idiot that I am, I tried to grab it right as it hit the floor. In fact, in the seconds after it shattered.

Result: One badly cut up left hand. And I'm left handed.

I've got three little cuts which are now healed enough to be uncovered - one at the bottom on my index finger and one at the bottom of my middle finger and one at the side of my hand.

Then there's the big one. On the palm side of the finger, it starts smack bang in the middle of my pinky and goes diagonally down until the point where the finger meets the hand. And it's deep.

Luckily, it does seem to be healing pretty quick. But I lost a fair amount of blood and was rather dizzy for a while there. And pain has set in now, but I don't want to upset my somach with pain killers.

I feel so stupid!
