Since I'm spamming, I thought I'd include some of my favourite pieces from my own writing.

"The packing up. The millions of boxes that need to be sent to New Hampshire for storage. Donna happy that she doesn’t have to sort through them. The decorators pouring in and invading every space that used to be yours. The President-elect wants the Oval office in peach and pale blue. Your reporters seem to be the only ones going no where and you spend a lot of time there. You catch Josh and Sam examining a keyboard, wondering if they could remove one essential key. You notice that Margaret *has* rearranged the keys on her keyboard. You empty your desk into a few boxes, you have more stuff than the last time you were fired. You steal a rubber ball from Toby’s desk."
Abstract Paintings on a Yankees T-Shirt: West Wing

"The idea of his own personal Christmas story becoming public scared him to death. "
Drowning in Fountain Spray: West Wing

"She stole the shoelaces from his shoes. He doesn’t know what she did with them, but they weren’t there one morning and neither was she. He likes to imagine that she put them in an old wine bottle and cast them off in the Hudson River."
Man Made Erosion: West Wing

"The red light stops flashing on the other side of the room and a child cries in her sleep. This is your life now, the rounds of endless airports and anonymous book stores. The visits to the highest corridors of governments in every corner of the world. The lonely nights awake in hotel rooms and public libraries, so you can just finish another chapter before you have to move on. The quest to go home, just so you can leave again."
Thin Whine through Sober Eyes: West Wing

"She doesn’t have to see him to know he is there. She can feel his breath somewhere around her left ear, can feel the heat from his body, (odd, because he is such a cold man.) She can hear him move."
The Dark Room: Harry Potter

"There was always something different about her when she came back from holidays. She walked differently, or talked funny, or wore her robes like they were awkward and unfamiliar. It was like she was stained - dirtied by the banalities of the Muggle world - and all he wanted was for someone to scrub her clean."
