Jul. 2nd, 2003 07:50 amI'm so in love with my Tearstains icon. I really should sit down and work on the story. After breakfast.
My problem is that I don't feel there's enough action in it. Too much talking. But how do you put action into a mostly Hermione story (with Snape) when they're doing investigation type work? Maybe I should get her to go into disguise, a la Mary Russell. Or maybe I should just reread my Mary Russell's for some ideas.
Give me some ideas!

I have work today. Three hours, plus half and hour to walk there and about 3/4 hour to walk home (I walk slower coming home). Nyah - easy shift.
I cooked a really big dinner last night - marinated steak; carrot, pumpkin and potato mash; peas and warm bread roles. I felt full and satisfied. I fell asleep during Angel though - not that it bothered me that much.
Okay, breakfast then writing then work. Sounds good.

on 2003-07-01 04:59 pm (UTC)I actually found it helpful to let everyone talk everything out. They often ended up "telling" me things or dropping hints that wound up as plot points and action.
Just keep writing, in other words -- even if you end up editing much of it out later or reworking it into action, it'll keep you in touch with their voices.
