So I began a new job on Tuesday. It's not perfect, the hours are irregular, I smell when I come home and I'm not sure how the pay will be. But the people are nice, the customers are nice, and I'm doing okay in it. And, hey, after two and a half months unemployed - it's a job.
Then there was the letter on Tuesday which told me (finally) that I made it through the Coles Myer initial process and I may be called in the next three months for an interview. And the phone call this morning about a job (unfortunatly I couldn't take it. It was less hours then I'm getting now and in Upper Mt Gravatt - about 3/4 hour away.)
Then I come home and find the world's best rejection letter in the mail (people of Brisbane - I am so impressed with St Margaret's Anglican Girls School. Very, very impressed) and I find a note from Liz telling me that her work is desperate for someone. I'm trying to get through to her now.
As my sister said this morning - once you get one job - everyone wants you.
