Trying desperatly to apply for a job. Job's for Mission Australia - a job agency. Job descriptions are on line. Computer can't open said job descriptions.

Suddenly lost all my pronouns.

Need to have my ten jobs by Thursday. Preferably Wednesday. Have two. Spent last week in interviews and getting sick. Not too sick though. Not sick enough to shell out forty bucks for a doctor to tell me I needed bed rest and vitamin C. Just sick enough that I couldn't job hunt because I sounded like I was dying.

Need to find 8 places to look for a job in three days. Sounds easier than it is. Because, if I choose badly and I get the job - I have to take it.

That's what got me working in the food court in the first place.

Hate Centrelink.

[livejournal.com profile] lizbee and I organised a big combination piss up/Alan Rickman wibble night tonight. (Actually, Liz said - 'We have wine and I want to watch a movie'. Then I said: 'We haven't watched Rasputin yet' And history was made.

Rasputin is possibly the best, bad movie I have ever seen. Alan Rickman sings, dances, drinks alcohol, smashes bottles, drinks more alcohol, has sexual tension with everyone on screen and then, when you think it can't get better, dies. Eventually.

The rest of the movie was really bad. But Alan Rickman was fun.

at least you have a uni degree! I spent 3 years at uni getting [insert NOTHING here]... meh.

Centrelink seems to screw all the honest people in the world, but for those who abuse the system (and I know SEVERAL people), well, they get everything.

I gave up looking for jobs, and now teach dancing instead. Haven't got many students at the mo, which sucks, but getting more every week!

So do you have to find places that are advertising jobs? Or can you just stick your resume in anywhere?

(NB)Post that was deleted is now below. My spelling sucked.

I have to try as many places as possible to get jobs. I'm registered with an agency, but they usually have about 10 jobs available at any one time, so it's just an exercise for Centrelink.

The lady at Centrelink honestly laughed at my degree. aAsked me why I spent the time and money on it. All but said I would have been better off with nothing (at least I ould have qualified for intensive support if I had nothing)

oh my God! You're kidding me! What a bitch! You went to uni, and did a degree you LOVED, hoping to get a job that you LOVE... it's not your fault you just can't find a job! At least you're looking! She's probably just jealous cos she's working in centrelink and has no future.
