melwilDecided that I'm going to take a break from fandom. I'll read a little, beta for ![[livejournal.com profile]](https://www.dreamwidth.org/img/external/lj-userinfo.gif)
lizbee, keep an eye on zendom and post my redux fic, but other than that - I'm fandom wiped out.
Why? Well there are a few reasons. First of all, I think that the West Wing fandom has officially died. The stories that are coming out aren't that great, or are mid season, so I can't read them. Feedback is minimal. People are sick of politics and don't want to write or read about it. As much as I enjoy Harry Potter and my other fandoms, I* love West Wing more, and I'm sad to see it die.
Also, I'm very sick of the Harry Potter fandom. I'm sick of the self congratulary tone in many message boards and LJ communities. I'm tired of being on the edge because I didn't start writing at the very beginning. I'm tired of dictatorial archives who say they're just trying to subdue the teeny boppers but still allow copious amounts of crap to exist on their archives.
Lastly, I just have no new ideas. None. I'm sick of Tearstains. Tired of CJ/Toby. Don't care whether Hawkeye and Margaret ever get together or not.
In conclusions - I'm just a Bitter Old Fic Queen.
