Happy World Teachers Day
Oct. 26th, 2007 06:33 amToday is World Teachers Day. Take a moment to acknowledge those wonderful people who opened up the world for you.
I want to acknowledge and thank:
Mrs Clendinnen - who gave me a book instead of a diagnoses to calm me down.
Mr Scott - who expected nothing less than excellence
Mr Forman - who taught me more maths in two terms than I had previously been taught in four years.
Mr Turner - who put up with me for four years, made me love science so much in grade nine that I beat the science nerds to the science prize, and never gave up the hope that I might achieve something in Chemistry.
Ms Adams - who pushed me and pushed me in history and English and made me read 1984 when everyone else was reading Animal Farm.
Ms Myers - who made me love Ancient History
and Mrs Bateman - who never actually taught me, but gave me so many opportunities at school.
