Now I'm getting through the episodes

3.7

An episode with more Ruth. I really need this after 3.6

The director/Principal only ever comes in when things are going badly. (Or in my case when I'm running a spelling activity requiring higher order thinking skills. But that's me) The teacher scene at the beginning is terrifying though.

Oh Danny. You're so so broken. And suffering from empty desk syndrome. And of course Ruth sees it, because she was spending so much time watching Zoe and Danny.

Malcolm and Harry crack me up when Sam refers to being a little grumpy . . .

There are some really great lines in this episode.

Oh Danny. Don't snap at Ruth. She's just trying to help.

(Just realised the Thunderbirds reference is even funnier considering Nicola Walker was in the movie . . .)

Colin to the rescue!!!!

And Adam needs to learn to listen to Ruth when she's talking about history. She knows what she's talking about!

There's a Will in the apartment. I notice that the apartment isn't looking quite as good as Danny is supposed to like. I wonder when he decided he couldn't tell Will, despite the promise he made Zoe. Or maybe he never intended to tell Will, and in some way she understood that.

*hee* Adam holding up the swim suit to himself is great.

Wes stayed eight years old for a while, didn't he?

This scene between Adam and Fiona is nice - they've got Fiona a lot more sorted out here. And there's that bit of mystery they're not going to answer for a season.

"Colin tell me something uplifting"
"Well it's shaping up to be driest autumn on record."
"Do you want to be taken out and shot?"
That exchange is still one of my all time favourite Spooks quotes.

(Harry's jealous!)

Colin and Ruth make me laugh.

Danny blames Adam for what happened, doesn't he. Harry a little, but mostly Adam, because despite the fact that Adam's been there for a while, he's still new and unknown. There's still secrets there.

Oh I love that little scene between Danny and Ruth, when he finally speaks to her properly, and she tells him that she envies the relationship he had with Zoe. And then the questioning of the job they have to do . . .

Oh Ruth.

I don't like Will anymore. :( Though, I know he doesn't like Danny, and he wants to get Zoe back.

Oh, Andrew's a real bastard, isn't he. Seducing Ruth with his pasta and talk of better places. The whole episode's really about finding a better place, I suppose. Danny wanting out, Adam wanting Fiona back, Ruth expressing her dissatisfaction with the choices, Zoe supposedly in a better place.

"Here's Mr Frodo. And Sam." There's something rather mean about poisonous diamonds . . .

Oh Danny.

Putting Ruth in danger is a little like putting Willow in danger, isn't it . . .

Oh, that promise at the end kills me. Because they all end up broken. And there's the beginning of my Danny/Ruth obsession.

Love the link back to 3.2 with the postcard.
