Ruth's round up = lovely. It's such a different beginning from usual, and yet, all the 'clues' are there. Harry must have sent the 'testers' info about Ruth's abilities.
psycho!Vicki! She was so happy with Tom's career until it started getting in her way, wasn't she. Yes he is going to dump you . . .
Ha! Colin's barge trip and Malcolm's maintenance rant. He so is the work place health and safety person.
No one quite cries like Zoe, do they. And - oops - Danny's on the outside . . .
Colin and Ruth are being quite geeky and excited about this. And so is Sam, actually.
"It's the Downing Street scrambler" Have I mentioned how much I love Colin in this episode. Or pretty much any episode, really. And he's the first to say what they're all thinking.
(Tom looks great in orange plastic, doesn't he)
Ooooh Ruth. She's so broken in that scene when she's supposed to be explaining VX. And the way Harry looks at her. And now it's Malcolm's turn to be all geeky. Boy does love his weapons, doesn't he.
Oh, Tom's so harsh and ultra professional. He's completely on task, trying to hold them all together.
Then the great 'On the Beach' moment.(You really should read that book if you haven't yet. Great book.)
OH, they all listen to Ruth. I like that.
"It's terrible question, Mr Tom Quinn."
Oh Ruth. She pulls Tom back together. She understands him and what he's going through. She knows what to do to patch him back up.
Hee. I like the fact that Colin tried to take on Danny. And his reaction when Tom tells him to apologise. *hee*
"Just scissors to stab in the wall." Oh, I adore this little scene between the two of them. Ruth realising she's just her job, and thinking that that's ok, and Tom trying to tell her that she's more than that. Oh . . .
And that heart breaking ending. With the bright lights and the clipboards and dead people wandering in the door. And Zoe and Sam crying and Colin punching things - and they're actually applauding them . . .
