Matt and I bought ourselves a small bird feeder a few weeks ago. It took a little while for the birds to appear, but slowly they've been coming for visits. Then on Saturday I noticed a pair of lovely rainbow lorikeets.

'That's nice' I thought, and walked away.

Then I returned later to find:

It looks like we're going to need a bigger feeder

Hehehe! Big birdie!

Cockatoos can end up a problem, especially for people who feed them on wooden balconies. They'd go away on holidays and return to find their balconies destroyed because the cockies wanted dinner. But a feeder in the yard is probably okay.

I'm going to buy a big wild bird seed bell and I'll hang it away from the smaller feeder - I want to make sure our smaller birds get a fair chance.

Look, hon, the twins are visiting!

They're cute, even if not quiet.
