So here's my problem with the greenhouse gas thing - after all those years of trying to get people to consume dairy and meat to ensure they have enough calcium and iron . . . well now we're making everyone feeling guilty about consuming those products.

Instead of saying 'reduce! reduce!', why don't they say'this is the recommended amount, try and meet this for the best of your health and the best of the Earth's health?

Also, if government was so concerned about saving the Earth, they'd ban these 'housing developments' that clear fall trees to squish as many people in as possible, rather than banning lightbulbs . . . or they'd make the roads safer for pedestrians and provide enough public transport for those of us who don't drive in cars!

But in good news, they reckon the cyclone coming has enough rain to fill Wivanhoe, Somerset and North Pine dams . . .

I think I'll go make some coffee with milk now . . . .

Government is concerned with looking like they're doing something.

And if channel ten wanted people to take their show seriously, they wouldn't have called it "cool aid". Or have they never heard the phrase "drinking the Kool Aid" - it's used in Buffy, they should have.

*joins you in the cynicism*

I'm on "meat week" ... thats gonna last all of march, but meat week sounds better than "meat month".

Oooh, and also enjoying my long showers ... and doing pretty much all that the government says I shouldn't, all whilst watching the beautiful orange glow through my window of idiot neighbour burning 5 metre high fires surrounded by trees :)

I flippe dover a few times (I was consuming the bollywood film on SBS... my time out from my normal cynically) and felt like a repeat of something I am sure we did back in the 80's on tv. Just back then it didn't invoved so much carbon for newspapers, multiple locations and celebs around the countryside.
