Getting Organised
Aug. 21st, 2006 04:41 pmAfter following a link from
sangerin's LJ, I've been going through the FlyLady website. It struck a bit of a point with me, because I've always been rather messy and unorganised in my personal spaces.
I've been getting better since I've started living with Matt. He's one of those impossibly organised and tidy people. When he does something, it'll be done neatly, and then it will be easy to put away. When I do something (cooking, craft, writing etc) it's big and messy, and I'm always distracted before I finish. In the last year or so I've been better at keeping common areas clean, but I'm still rather unorganised and untidy.
So it's rather cool to follow some of the ideas on the site, and in less than a week, to look around at my mostly tidy house. My room is tidier than usual, and all my teaching stuff is organised. It turns out that I really like being tidy and organised.
