Yasmin's Getting Married

Yeah.

So there's this new show on Channel 10 called Yasmin's Getting Married (I'd include a link, but the page only has a 'create your perfect man' game . . .) The supposed purpose is to find Yasmin the love of her life and then they will get married. In 9 weeks.

The real purpose seems to be making the hosts look cool, while making fun of Yasmin and every male putting themselves up to date her . . .

And it all made me think about the 'falling in love on television' thing. And therefore, because I'm in a poll mood - a poll.

ETA - I just played with the 'ideal man creator'. There's no men with beards. No men with glasses. How can I make my ideal man!! Tragedy!!

Of course. That's the whole point. Why should the audience have all the fun?

I answered this because the peeople really deserve to be made fun of if they are stupid enough to go on the show in the first place. I have no patience or tolerance for stupid people.

I can't stand those "find a mate" reality shows. Aside from the indignity of it all, the idea of pitting people against each other in order to "win" a person really disgusts me.

I'm the same. I mean, there's my main issue, which is... Howard thinks gay marriage devalues the institution of marriage?

And then most of the rest of my objections stem from the fact that I really do think that marriage is generally a good thing, and that it should not be entered into lightly, or unadvisedly, or simply to beef up Australian content on channel ten.

so i just made my ideal man - well picked the eyes nose lips and head and shoulders of that i liked. And they told me he was ugly... but caring. Sounds like Bundy men...
