The book post after OD-ing on Sweet Valley Twins books

Book 81: Elizabeth's First Kiss by Jamie Suzanne

”While we're at it, I could show you a few makeup tricks, too. After all, if you're going to change your hair, you might as well try some other new looks”

Sweet Valley Middle School has gone romance crazy and all the Unicorns are vying to be the first to get a 'boyfriend'. Jessica's no exception with a crush on the cutest guy in sixth grade – Todd Wilkins. Unfortunately, Elizabeth also has a crush on Todd. In order to make herself more attractive, Elizabeth pulls her hair out of her pony tail and begins wearing makeup – suddenly she's getting more attention than she know how to handle.

This is a pretty basic SV Twins book – although it is the beginning of the great Elizabeth/Todd romance. All in all, a decent quick read.

Book 82: The Middle School Gets Married by Jamie Suzanne

Inside the basket were eggs. Lots of eggs. Some of them had pink stickers on them, and some of them had blue stickers.

Another Sweet Valley Twins book. The whole school are involved in the 'egg project' after being married off to another random person in the school. Of course no one's with the people they like – Todd is with Lila, Elizabeth with Bruce and Jessica with her arch rival, Rick Hunter. Chaos reigns.

Another decent children's read – interestingly, I thought the egg experiment was a very American thing until two of my students at dancing told me that they'd done/were doing the experiment in grade six.

Book 83: The Battle of the Cheerleaders by Jamie Suzanne

”Let's vote. Who wants to start the first all-girl basketball team at SVMS?”
Eleven voices yelled aye, clear and loud.
“So it's set,” Jessica said triumphantly. “As of tomorrow, we're a team!”

Another basic SV Twins book – a decent read but nothing spectacular – Jessica and Elizabeth and their friends want to start a girls basketball team. Everyone doubts them except the twin's brother Steven, who wants to coach them to get some experience. And although the girls (most of whom are also cheerleaders) ask nicely, the boys team won't come to watch, even when the girls start winning. So the cheerleaders boycott the boys matches until they start playing ball.
