Rather tired - but loving the wibblers.
Jan. 19th, 2003 09:48 pmI am rather exhausted after last night's effort. (
tangochocky gave me a really long fic around 3 am and said "Hey, read this, you'll love it." Which I did. And I read to around 5am. I will try and find the url of the fic for you . . .)Got home around 2.30 after sending Jac home on the train (Someone should not let that girl stay up all night.)
I was rather shocked to see the pictures from Canberra. The bush fires have killed four, injured a lot and destroyed around 400 homes. (Canberra is not a big city). The news footage showed this empty vacant place - whole suburbs out.
As most of you know, Matt (my other half) is down in Canberra at the moment on work experiance. He's fine - they're a couple of suburbs over from the fires - but still suffering from the smoke and dust and ash as well as the possibility that the water supply will be contaminated and they'll only be able to use bottled water. (He also tells me that he has some rather dramatic photos taken from Parliment House). Hopefully the predicted bad conditions for the next couple of days won't eventuate - I really can't handle this stress. (Pray for rain)
The party last night was a riot - and the train ride down a scream. (Liz does great performance art - but alcohol may be required. She also rewrites my stories in a very strange manner)
Hopefully I'll begin to get a web page up tonight - get all my stories in one place.
