I've been meaning to do a real update for a while now, so here it goes.
1. One week and a day left of prac.
Things I will miss: the kids, the teaching, the bad jokes in the staff room, feeling like I'm acheiving something, having 29 people begging me to read a story
Things I won't miss: early mornings and late nights, being sick, lunch duty, having a messy desk, writing reflections on everything, sorting out nine year olds' fights, a few of the kids, hearing "he/she started it . . . "
2. My parents have returned from the United States relaxed and with presents. (I got The Game and Locked Rooms)
3. My sister trimmed my hair for me (Jac, not Kate). It's been years since I had long, neat looking hair. I like it. (I refuse to pay a hairdresser the same amount for a small trim that I would pay for a hefty cut)
4. Spooks is great
5. I'm teaching short story writing to the kids this week. I can't wait!
6. I was going to apply for a certain school until I got the job application and it informed me that I must be Christ Like in dealing with parents. There was more objectional stuff, but that was the one that made me laugh.
