Guess who has the world's best boyfriend?

He came home last night with the collector's edition of Ben Fold's new album. The one I could neither find nor afford until Friday. And there's a 40 minute DVD and it's so vety, very good.

(Matt rules)

Feeling slightly better this morning, thanks to the killer cough medicine I gulped yesterday. Ready for a totally boring day today of Psychology, Phys Ed, and Maths. (Day of Hell) Also, not feeling the overwhelming need to kill people, which is handy.

Still annoyed about a post someone made yesterday. Basically it seemed to say that spoiler warnings were vitally important for those who live on the West Coast of the USA, but once you get past that you're not impotant enough to be unspoiled. Even on shows like Lost, where we're only half a year behind.

I had more to say but there's an 8am class this morning

I really need to stop looking at that post, because every time I do I get annoyed again. Meg and I bitched about it for most of the morning, yesterday (I messaged her at around 8.15 to say that I was running late for work and on a horrible, crowded train because I got into a spoiler debate...), so you'd think I'd have worked through my animosity.

I am tempted, yet again, to post my "spoiler manifesto", but at the moment I suspect that would result in ending up on f-w (and I hate that that is one of the reasons I'm not going to do it just now.) Why do I bother with fandom? *sigh*

It took a lot of self control not to go too far yesterday. I'm seeing the same kinds of attitudes in other places too, though

Fandom is exasperating

I'm with you on the spoiler rantage. I'm not even a spoilerphobe. (Current thinking about spoilers runs like this: The only things I'm worried about being spoiled for are Locked Rooms, and The Hallowed Hunt by Lois McMaster Bujold. Speculation, publicity and hints from people who have read the ARCs are fine, but on the respective release dates, I'll be going no-mail on RUSS-L and LordV.

Fortunately, literary fandoms respect that.
