I adore this pairing in the books, but I haven't actually read any fanfic on it. This pairing is one of my favourites of the series, probably falling in after Rilla/Ken and Anne/Gilbert themselves. I like it because of its romance, because Leslie deserved something good to wander into her life and Owen entered at the right time. I love the way that it's not settled at once. Although they fall in love early, they think that it can never be. The hurdle makes their eventual pairing all the sweeter.

I think the Anne/Gilbert aspect of it - the way Gilbert presses so hard for the surgery for Dick, despite Anne's protests - makes this more interesting to me. I'm never as interested in those random pairings that Anne gets together. This pairing was linked with Anne and Gilbert and the way they felt about each other.

At first - during the first book these two characters were too far removed from me to ever think about them together. I was more about Tibby and her story. It wasn't until the second book, when you saw Bee trying to come to terms with herself and when Lena's world fell apart that I actually cared about them as much as Tibby. (Carmen's still growing on me)

I don't think Lena and Bee can exist without each other. Lena, especially needs Bee which is why she feels so heavily for her. It's a completely natural pairing for me - I don't even have to think about it or how it would work. It just does.

Well we all know that Vamp Willow wants it. *g* I'm not sure if I can see it, unless Willow goes all psychomagic girl again and kills Vamp Willow once the romance is over. I was watching The Wish yesterday actually and was struck by how perfect Vamp Willow was for Vamp Xander in a way Willow/Xander never worked. Sadly, that's all I can think of to say about this pairing *g* So I use my Willow icon
