In more money news, my uni has finally released our Guild Fee bills, but have given us no way to pay them, other than using that credit card I'm not allowed to get because I'm a student. Further more, they've clumped our Guild Fees ($121) next to my HECS-Help (Hah!) fees of almost $2000. Which led to panic as there was no explaining note, and the Fed Govt's new process won't let me be sure that I've really deferred it all.

And the due date is the 11th March - less than two weeks away.

In other news, the anti-terrorism fridge magnet fell off my parent's fridge Friday night, so the Earth is definately doomed. I'm not sure if we need to fear something from outside or inside the fridge.

gah! Fees! One of the many fun things about uni - NOT!!!

I think one of the reasons I've avoided going back to uni again is that I really can't be bothered paying all those damned fees. Tution, books, guild fees, transport to and from the rotten place...

maybe next year.

PS GOOD LUCK! You're totally gonna rock the joint! Can't wait til you're a REAL teacher next year!

I posted about this last week. If you look a bit further down the standard bill, there should be a teeny-tiny notice saying that if your tax file no. is registered with the uni and you redid your HECS forms at the end of last year, all you have to do is pay your admin/guild fees and the tuition will roll over.

I just got over that heart attack when my mother decided to take my card and do my fees while she was at the post office, forgot that it was guild/admin only and promptly cleaned nearly two grand out of my savings account.

I thought about you and my sister (who's also at Sunshine Coast) when I saw it, but the online bill for QUT didn't have any note. I'm going on the assumption since it's the same, but I wish there was some kind of notification from the uni/Govt to tell me it was okay.

I love that icon

Um, linky here for hoe to pay fees, including BPay Biller codes and such. (I'm assuming from a possibly incorrect memory that you're a fellow QUT-type.)

And yeah, the 2 week thing is a bit sucky, as is the scary confusion of how the Commonwealth Support (pfft) fees are lumped in. :\

Thanks - it all seemed a lot easier last year.

I remember when I began at UQ in 1999 and they sent out a paper bill . . .

Damn, I was hoping they'd waived our fees because they loved us that much. *grin*

You can use my credit card to pay, if you like. And if you give me the money. *stares at mounting debt*

sounds like your uni did what mine did - sent out hecs and guild fees as if they were one ... I just went ... WTF! freaked out ... then read the important notice, then giggled over the fact that they sent out two copies of one e-mail to everyone telling them to read the important notice ... the thingo was just set out really badly.
