My Christmas Presents
I got my presents over three days, as is traditional.
Xmas Eve

-Make up brushes/applicators + some of my Great Grandmother's old spoons, and an old bracelet of hers ( from Grandparents)
-Coffee cup with hot chocolate mix, marshmellows and chocolate (Aunt S, Uncle B and N)
-Coffee cup with hot chocolate mix, chocolate and long handled tea spoon (Aunt B, Uncle I, C and A)
-$10 (Aunt C, Uncle N and J)
-Crystal (Aunt K, Uncle K and J)
Xmas Day
-Hair brush, chocolate coins, candles, lollipop, nail files (Santa)
-"When I Talk to You: A Cartoonist Talks to God" by Michael Leunig (from
sangerin - I wanted this so much!)
-Roses Chocolates (Jac)
-Great big butterfly picture (it's gorgeous - picture coming) and key ring (Kate)
-Eyelet setting tools and other scapbooking stuff (Mum and Dad)
Boxing Day
-"Jonathan Strange and Mr Norrell" by Susanna Clarke and lots of scrapping scissors (Matt's family)
And Matt has decided that we're going out alone for my birthday, thus saving me from deciding what we're going to do!

Today would have been my Great-grandmother's 99th birthday. I have the strongest memories of her little house in Toowoomba, with its old stove, its bead curtain and its little backyard looking over a train line. We all called her Mumma, because when my Mum (her oldest grandchild) was born, Mumma decided she didn't want to be called grandma. So she was Mumma to all her grand kids and great-grand kids.
