Howard tries to screw up school for everyoneI don't see how consultation with parents, but not with educators, or education specialists can develop good teaching. Not when we are being asked to implement common methods of teaching maths, english, science and civics. What the hell are common methods? And when are the pin heads in Canberra going to realise that common methods don't work for all students?
They also want a common starting age (because all students develop at the same time), two hours of phys ed a week (most schools do that already - it's the reason a lot of the adults in my course don't want to do phys ed. There are only so many times you can put up with male teachers staring down your swimmers) and every school who wants funding must have a working flag pole.
Because flag poles don't cost money.
And the labour party is supporting this.
Do they need teachers in Canada?
