melwilWork today - just five hours with nothing particularly notable happening. I cut bread, I put pies in the oven, I took pies out of the oven, I rearranged bread.
Some people are really fussy about the things they buy. One woman wouldn't have a dinner roll because it looked a bit dinted (it wasn't) and she'd only have the things in the front of the cabinet, where they're hardest to get. Another woman wanted me to find the bakers recipe book so she knew exactly what the ingredients were. When I couldn't find it, she wanted me to ring a baker. "I would," I said, "except they're probably sleeping right now." Apparently she'd spent 3/4 of an hour searching bakeries for bread for her children that didn't have egg paste on top. They must have been vegan because egg allergies are pretty rare and I have one and have never been bothered by bread (though, if they were vegan, they shouldn't be eating bread because there's milk too. I think she was just strange)
I've finished the second chapter of my story (still nameless) and once I've typed it up I'll probably send it off for beta-ring. Weaves has already offered, but does anyone else want to give it a go? It's Snape/Hermione adult fic. Leave me your email if you're interested . . .
