Another day
Jul. 10th, 2003 05:47 pmSo, this morning I went over to
missmartin's place for my first club related filming session. It was for a kids program and I thought we might have to do some silly stuff, but it was a really good experience.
From there I went out to the hospital. It took me a while to find the building my grandmother was in, let alone which ward, but I managed it finally and found my grandfather and uncle already visiting. My grandmother goes into her operation at 6.30 tonight - about half an hour from now. Hopefully this will all go well.
My grandmother seems to be in good spirits, although she looked tired. Her biggest problem was the nil by mouth, which made it difficult because she was coughing a little and couldn't have water. She has some great people looking after her though.
I was impressed by the new hospital. It's not as depressing a place as the old one was (it's been about 15 years since I visited Royal Brisbane Hospital). I was vaguely tempted to wander over to the children's hospital to see all the changes that have been made since my last visit in 1989. I restrained myself though *g*
The next door neighbours are now playing cheesy pop radio stations with bass . . .
