One of those days . . .
Apr. 17th, 2003 01:18 pmSo, I woke up at 6am full of good intentions. I watched the news, rolled over and went back to sleep. Woke again around seven and read my book (Goodnight Mr. Tom) until 8am.
8am: My phone begins ringing. I'm not sure where it is, except that it's in my room. Find it. Answer it. My sister is inviting me to the sold out Brisbane/Collingwood game at the Gabba (squee! Nice looking men in tight shorts.)
9am: Read paper. Have coffee. Realise that I have to unload a couple of resume's for Centre-hell's benefit. Walk to Toombul. Manage to unload two resumes. Fill in a script at the chemist. Wait half an hour to pick up my script. (Day before good friday. The girl at Coles could have been
missmartin. She either wanted to be killed or wanted to kill someone. The meaning was a little unclear.
Bought myself an EP I've been promising myself for ages. You see, once upon a time I used to be a cleaner at the Myer Centre foodcourt where I met Matt. And Matt worked in the Kebabs shop with this guy called James who was in a band called The Boat People. And then they got kind of big. And released an EP.
I'm playing it now, and it truly rocks. Kind of Ben Folds Five meets Whitlams meets funky underground band. If you get the chance, I suggest you buy it (and because it's an EP it's cheap too)
(Okay. Advertising over)
So I got home and dumped my groceries on the bench. i sat down, had some food and watched some TV. Then I realised that I hadn't fastened open the dead bolt on the door when I came in. I stand up and go look for my keys.
I can't find my keys. I start to panic. I can't remember if I left them in the door - on the outside of the door. I can't leave the apartment. I ring
lizbee and ask her to come home and release me. I hope they're outside because otherwise I'm kinda stuffed . . .
But I'm going to see the Lions tonight! (If I ever get out of in here)
