-After all the discussion of how much A Wrinkle in Time meant to you lot, I ended up buying it on Saturday. I absolutely loved it.

-Saturday's shopping trip also included Matt buying me steel cap boots, motorcycle helmet, leather jacket and gloves. We followed this up with our first ride on Matt's bike. It turns out that I love it.

-Saturday night was a studio session at the ballet. I was in the front row, and the dancers really went all out - there were times when you found yourself pulling your legs in, to prevent yourself from kicking a ballet dancer. Lovely.

-Spooks September will continue soon. I've now written 50 stories in the fandom, 10 since the beginning of the month, so I guess I should write a sum-up.

A Wrinkle in Time! I didn't see your discussion, and I haven't thought about that book in years, but I did absolutely love it. There were also more books, about Meg's children, weren't there? Some of those were fantastic.

The discussion was more among people on my friends list who had loved the books for years. I'd never read them before - not sure if they're much of an Australian thing.

A Wrinkle in Time was fabulous

Aww, man, I can't believe Madeline L'Engle died. I'm glad to hear that there was discussion about her though; I think a Wrinkle in Time was one of the few books I can point to that changed my life.

And oooo, motor bikes. One day I want to be brave enough to ride one. :)

It's interesting - A Wrinkle in Time seems like such an important book for the USA, but here I've only run into one or two people who have read it. It is an amazing book though.

I was so nervous about the bike, but as soon as we got going I could ride on the back forever.
