So, Matt left Brisbane just after 6am this morning. There were tears (though not many, and not all from me - but don't tell him I said that) and now my house feels too large and too empty, even though Matt's not usually home by now.
I distracted myself by heading into the city and having breakfast (it wasn't yet 7am) and then going to see The Queen which was bloody brilliant. It's a little strange though to see events I remember so clearly, portrayed as history. But Helen Mirren was just brilliant - I think there was only one moment in the whole thing when I saw the actress not the character. I also liked the way they kept the two boys playing the princes mostly obscured - it added to the feeling so much. And I adored the Queen Mum with her snarkiness when her funeral was stolen from her, and her affection to Charles. And it was so weird feeling sympathy with Charles.
Yeah, basically I loved it
Then I bought lots of fabric and some skirt patterns.
