First I need to say sorry to the Wibblers for being grumpy this morning. I think I just needed a bit of time on my own to sit down and think - feeling much better now.
I talked to Centrelink (eevil) this morning and have printed out a whole lot of resumes to drop around. Apparently we should be paid in the next couple of days too - goodness in my bank balance.
Good things right now:
1. I have beautiful hair thanks to Cara and Amanda and Kim (in her supervisor role). All dark red-y
2. I have Ben Folds, Ben Lee, Ben Kweller tickets!!!
3. Matt comes home in a week and five days
4. I bought a new notebook today
5. Finally getting somewhere with my redux project.
Decided that I hate Fiction Alley. I had a story sent back yesterday - apparently my punctuation was wrong, but on rereading I couldn't find it. Rather upset abut this, but trying not to think about all the crap that's on FA. (Certain leather pants loving stories - fist shake!!)
I was very proud to be one of the people protesting on the streets of Brisbane yesterday. It was a huge crowd - bigger, I believe than the crowds that congratulated the Olympians in 2000. I wore white in my hair and around my wrist and stuck a sign to my back pack (Let Us Have Peace) and Kate and I shared a 'Give Peace a Chance' sign. Then we led the chants down most of Edward Street.
Not sure if we made much difference, but I refuse to be vocal about something and not march for it. And with all the different types of people out there, it was an awesome experiance.
And I have good hair
