I must have jinxed myself. Because, there the phone went - 'would you teach year 7 at the school near a local train station near a couple of my friends?'

I was dreading it. But then the school, which I haven't been to before, was great. The acting deputy showed me around, the kids were fabulous. I honestly had a brilliant, brilliant day.

Then I went and bought new shirts and books
