JoyFaithGrace - some religious rambling
Apr. 15th, 2005 03:50 pmAs some of you might might know, our church changed ministers at the end of last year. I am less than happy about the right-wing leanings of our new minister, but due to the nature of my church in my state, and my lack of transport, it's difficult to find a more liberal church. This left me pretty upset, as those of you I have ranted to would agree.
After some reflection and an inspirational talk on Thursday, I am determined to push forward with my exploration of the Bible, related religious readings, and literature about the Christian Left. To reflect and share the ideas I have about my reading, I have set up a new Live Journal:
joyfaithgrace (Sorry Kate and Jac).
If you are interested, please have a look. I welcome all suggestions, ideas, recommendations and opinions that are made in a respectful way. (ie. Don't go out of your way to piss me off) I'll be talking about the Bible, religious authors, news related to religion, and snippets I find on the internet. Should be fun.

on 2005-04-15 07:54 am (UTC)It's a lousy rotten time in this church of ours, and you, unfortunately, are in a Synod that is slightly lousier than some of the others in the country.

on 2005-04-18 12:03 pm (UTC)b) Having to go through 5 people? That's also how the UCA works. ~laughs~ But you know..., it's possible to work with.
