They were punching him in the face and all he could think of was Jon Bon Jovi.
As the cartilage of his nose dissolved under a shitstorm of brass knuckle blows, Ben found it impossible to rid his mind of the chorus to 'Livin' on a Prayer'. They were going to kill him, and it occured to him suddenly that, if they succeeded, this was the last song he would ever hear. It made him more determined than ever to keep his heart beating.
