Friday

Matt should have been up at 6.30am so he could be out of the house by 7am, but he slept through the alarm and didn't get up until 6.55am. Major rush in our house . . .

Went home to dreary looking Peachester. Mum, apparently, has the only known case of West Nile Fever (or something like that) in Australia.

Dancing was good - Jacinda was getting ready for her grading and was practicing with . . . well, it's basically a chunk of concrete on a stick. One of the dancing girls took one look at it, gulped, and told her friend they had to be good. If only it worked in all classes.

BTW - Big congratulations to Jacinda ([livejournal.com profile] wierdgurl30) who achieved her brown belt in her grading on Friday night. It's a pretty huge acheivement, and she even beat up one of my old classmates for it . . . *g*

Saturday

Matt and I had our two year anniversary on Friday, but because of his uni and my dancing, we couldn't go out until last night. We went into the city, had dinner at Jo Jo's in the mall, coffee at Coffee Club (a bit of tradition for us - the first time we went out together, we went there) and then saw Down With Love. I think Matt was a little tentative about going, but he seemed to enjoy it, and I enjoyed it greatly.

Sunday

I went to church this morning, which I was really looking forward to after missing last week because of being sick. It was a great service, with almost everyone coming up to me and saying hi, and the minister chatting with me for ages afterwards. We've got a big 100 years on one site celebration in a fortnight, and they've asked me to help out with the afternoon tea.

It is so nice to be part of such a welcoming group. Also, I'd forgotten how much I enjoy the Uniting Church services. I love being back now.
