My weekend (or how to bore my readers)
Jul. 13th, 2003 04:03 pmSo, my grandmother had her operation on Thursday night. The operation lasted three and a half hours and they had to take a little more than intended - but it otherwise went well. However, they found a slight heart murmer after and she was moved to the cardiac section. I was able to visit her for about ten minutes today, and she'd been sitting up for three hours and eating which is good. Also, she was happy because Geelong won the footy yesterday.
In other news, I went home to help out the parents. Mum's off to New Orleans on Friday, so I did all the ironing and stuffed a lot of bodies. (Mini Koalas that will be sewn together)
I also wrote about five pages of chapter two of my yet unnamed Tearstains story. I've been able to put some good plot bits in and I'm getting happier with it.
There's a discussion of OotP on at the moment. They're trying to decide whether they should reveal the ending. It's intelligent from three members of the four member panel, but the fourth member has only read half the first book and the fifth one and believes that the fifth one drags on too long. It made me wonder if you need the details that come through in the first four books to better enjoy the fifth.
