1: Grab the book nearest to you, turn to page 18, find line 4. Write down what it says:
(I can) now, but only when I feel I can teach someone else to do (the same thing). from The Shape of Love by Gelsey Kirkland

2: Stretch your left arm out as far as you can. What do you touch first?
My grade 12 year book. I'm a bit short of the wall.

3: What is the last thing you watched on TV?
Um, probably the first bit of two and a half men, last night

4: WITHOUT LOOKING, guess what time it is:
I suck at this. 3.05pm

5: Now look at the clock, what is the actual time?
3.00pm (not too shabby!)

The radio (ABC Newsradio), and cars speeding down the road outside.

I walked to my favourite second hand book store and bought 7 books for $10

University email

9: What are you wearing?
Faded jeans, pink sleeveless shirt over a blue t-shirt

10: Did you dream last night?
I'm sure I did. I don't remember

11: When did you last laugh?
Earlier today. I got a phone call.

12: What is on the walls of the room you are in?
Not much. A poster of Snape protecting the kiddies, my early 1900's Good Manners in School chart. Some post cards, pictures of my dancing kids.

13: Seen anything weird lately?
Um. Strange program meant for kids we used in class yesterday

14: What is the last film you saw?
Spiderman 2 on Sunday with Matt. Good laughing movie.

16: If you became a multi-millionaire overnight, what would you buy first?
There's a bookstore in the city with no books over $2. So, I'll shop there for a while. Then I'd just burn some money outside centrelink.

17: Tell me something about you that I don't know.
Most of the books I bought today were ballet stories.

18: If you could change one thing about the world, regardless of guilt or politics, what would you do?
If only people would think before acting.

19: Do you like to dance?
Um. Well. Just a little bit *g*

20: George Bush?
Oh, our esteemed leader. No wait, that's John Howard . . .

21a: Imagine your first child is a girl, what do you call her?
Charlotte

21b: Imagine your first child is a boy, what do you call him?
No idea.

22: Would you ever consider living abroad?

Ooh, which ones?

And, because I've finally got the name of the author, my favourite Ballet story ever is Ballerina, by Nada Curcija-Prodanovic. Do you know that one?

No. Time to search for it!

I got Drina Dances in Italy (Jean Estoril) West End Shuffle and it's sequel by Natalie Jane Prior (Young adult books, set in Brisbane, she's researched, but I can pick almost all the places she's done her research - not really true to life and pretty melodramatic), A Proper Little Nooryeff (Jean Ure) and the sequal to Gelsey Kirkland's autobiography, which I hope will have more dancing and less sleeping with famous dancers *g*
