Before I get back into uni work, I'm going to utter three words that will strike fear into the hearts of Queensland primary school students:

Queensland Modern Cursive.

I hate it. It is my enemy. I just found a font of it, so I don't have to write it all the time . . . *g*

I moved up here at the start of grade 5, just in time to have already learnt an entirely different system. Like, hello! a's and b's and o's are ROUND, not triangular. God, it still annoys me, and it was 10 years ago.

I found a font of Queensland Modern cursive, which basically all primary teachers have to know :(

Only if Victorian modern cursive has a strange obsession with wedges and straight lines . . . I've discovered that Qld Modern cursive is actually a modern way of indoctrinating left handers to write like right handers - because they're not allowed to tie hands behind backs anymore. (Never worked on me - I learnt to curl my hand around because it was neater)
