Have you ever gone somewhere totally new and just felt comfortable? That was me yesterday.

I turned up a little early, but had a bit of a wait in the office as my teacher was in a Special Needs meeting. Then my teacher took me over to her classroom, which impressed me a lot. See, it's a small area, fairly crowded, and there's not a whole lot of light inside. But the teacher has managed to create a classroom which is bright, cheerful and easy to work in.

There was about 20 students there yesterday, and my teacher decided that rather than just looking on, it would be a good idea if I actually got in and got my hands on teaching. I was given small groups to work with throughout the day, and my favourite moment was when I taught four grade ones that the word eight begins with an 'e'.

Yesterday the kids were a little wild. There was a change in weather, new people in the school, a show on in the afternoon, some of the kids away on an excursion . . . but still I loved it. I just want to get out there into the classroom now. Right now. Give me a classroom. And kids . . . .

Hugs!

Oh, I'm so glad you enjoyed it! How long is your course? (I'm sure I've asked you before, but I'm scatterbrained today...)

I wish I could be as excited and confident as you. I'm going to be teaching high school aged kids and I'm terrified. But I want to. I don't know, LOL. Now I'm rambling.

I'm glad you're enjoying it!

That's so wonderful!

If there's one thing the world REALLY needs more of it's good teachers. Especially at that age you can make such an incredible difference.

Glad to hear another good teacher is en route.

I am glad you are enjoying prac. At least you get start reasonably early - I had to wait till the last two weeks of semester to begin, suffering through a whole semester of education, and came microscopically close to quitting. Enjoy it to the greatest extent possible, because the total amount of prac you get in a two year course seems very small once you get through the first part.

Congrats on the new phone.
