Yesterday and Today

Mmmmmm. Mr Darcy.

Obviously I went and saw Pride and Predjudice yesterday. Now, I've never seen the whole BBC mini series, mostly because what I'd seen looked stuffy, and I wasn't going to commit myself to stuffiness for that long. I probably wouldn't have gone to see the movie if it wasn't for Matthew McFadyen.

But I'm hooked. So hooked that I have the book to read. I loved the movie, loved the characters, loved the romances, everything.

I followed my movie experience with a quick trip to a crowded, over stuffed but 20% off Spotlight where I bought net and chiffon.

Today I need to finish my study and create two more soundtracks for NaNo. Lots of fun.

you do realise that saying you bought net and chiffon after watching pride and prejudice makes you sound like you're taking the whole jane austen thing into dress sense - and that means too far.

Also out of curiosity - when is the concert??

*g* Jane Austen in blue, purple and yellow tutus . . .

Concert is 26 and 27th November. Panic begins tomorrow.

Did you just love the bit where Bingley "practices" on Darcy? And then Darcy pacing outside before the end?

I *adore* the BBC series, but I love this one to pieces too. And not just because of Darcy. (But he is dreamy...)

Oh the pacing outside was amazing - with all the girls in the window!

And the practising scene!

I love the ball scene . . . the 'trick' bit when everyone disappears . . . *g*

And he is soooo dreamy *g*

There was one bit: at Pemberley, when he follows her out onto the terrace, that she seemed so much like Keeley it was disturbing. Now, that may just be the result of my Keeley-obsession, I admit, but I have to say I was thinking "If I thought she looked and sounded like Keeley there, what was Matthew thinking?!"

*hee*

I might just have to go see it again to see that moment . . . *g*

I havent seen the new movie yet, have been meaning to everyday day since last thursday (which was a day off) but has been ill.

Old friends used to go in a kinda of shock when I mentioned my great "like" of P&P (the book) and then at my watching (eventually buying the dvd) when the BBC one came out because they thought it was so girly and lovey dovey romantic crap that they never assoicated me with. I would try to tell them that its not just a romance but has so much more to offer. You find yourself sniggering (if not bitchely) more over than swooning at the romance part of it. :)
