Spooks! Spooks! Spooks!

Wow! What a brilliant fandom week. Harry Potter one Saturday; brand new Spooks FINALLY the next Friday.

Wow.

And again. Wow.

Need to go watch my tape to write proper thoughts. (And so much fic)

Love Adam. Like the idea of a Spook even better than Tom. However, think his 'new status' evens it up between them. And Adam/Zoe and Adam/Tom are so plausible (so is Adam/Sam *g*)

Love the way they meet like that. And can totally see Ruth/Zoe.

That guy slapped Christine! What a bastard. And Christine and Tom - their love is so doooomed. And she's leaving. To go back to California and star in lots of Sam Seaborne/Christine Dale fic.

Loved Harry's entrance. I actually screeched.

Zoe and Tom in Zoe and Danny's apartment. The punching and the hugging and he really smelt!

Ok. Must squee to [livejournal.com profile] sangerin and then write fic!

Email of squee is on its way.

[identity profile] sangerin.livejournal.com 2005-07-22 12:42 pm (UTC)(link)
And by the way. OMG, OMG, OMG!

(I screeched, I cried, I yelled at Christine, I yelled at evil!TimMcInerney!dude... On one hand I'm glad there was no one else around while I watched this, but on the other hand... I could have used someone to keep me halfway sane at the begining. While I was still recovering from the end of the Silent Witness ep.)

[identity profile] melwil.livejournal.com 2005-07-22 12:46 pm (UTC)(link)
I actually almost screamed at the end of the Silent Witness ep. My sister is trying to read Harry Potter and she was not impressed.

And the scene at the end between Tom and Christine - when he looked like he was about to cry I had a hard time not crying

[identity profile] sangerin.livejournal.com 2005-07-22 12:53 pm (UTC)(link)
When I texted "I can't handle this" I was wailing over the end of Silent Witness and still cursing the producers of that show, and desperately needing some time to recover before dealing with Spooks. (I've read a chapter of Harry Potter. Can't get past the badficness of the beginning of the second chapter.)

Tom and Christine! ~wails~ When *she* looked like crying and pulled off the wire? I almost burst into tears. Poor Christine! (Glad to see she still has the same coat. Which apparently is Megan's own, if I remember a commentary correctly.)

[identity profile] melwil.livejournal.com 2005-07-22 12:56 pm (UTC)(link)
I just can't believe he actually trusted her!

[identity profile] sangerin.livejournal.com 2005-07-22 12:58 pm (UTC)(link)
I think my comment at that point was "Christine, I love you to death, but please, please, Tom, be playing her."

But the scene in the hotel lobby was almost worth it.

And SpookTaxi!

(Love Ruth. Love her, love her, love her.)

[identity profile] melwil.livejournal.com 2005-07-22 12:59 pm (UTC)(link)
Loved Danny's smirk after the 'bag incident'

(Ruth/Harry!)

[identity profile] sangerin.livejournal.com 2005-07-22 01:01 pm (UTC)(link)
And Zoe kicks someone and walks away smoothing her skirt. And "Zoe. Flirt." I think I actually like Adam.

(Everyone in this show is so damn shippable! Why is the fandom not bigger?)

[identity profile] melwil.livejournal.com 2005-07-22 01:04 pm (UTC)(link)
We'll just have to write tonnes of good fic ourselves.

(And Colin when the tape was chewed!)

[identity profile] sangerin.livejournal.com 2005-07-22 01:08 pm (UTC)(link)
Yes!

Here's something: why was Malcolm at the doghouse, but not Colin? Or was it a "department heads" type of thing... which leads me to wonder, who replaced Tessa? Unless it was Ruth, which seems somehow wrong. ~wanders off, trying to decipher the departmental structures of MI-5~

Wasn't Tim McInerney brilliantly horrible? And imagine him in the same room as Jools! (Blackadder flashbacks, for a start...)

[identity profile] melwil.livejournal.com 2005-07-22 01:12 pm (UTC)(link)
It couldn't have been a department heads thing if Sam was there. Maybe Colin his himself somewhere on the Grid trying to keep a secret *g* Or maybe he worked out he was bugged

[identity profile] melwil.livejournal.com 2005-07-22 01:12 pm (UTC)(link)
And he was excellently horrible *g*

[identity profile] sangerin.livejournal.com 2005-07-22 01:15 pm (UTC)(link)
And when did they come up with an emergency "If the Grid is taken over by evil government bureaucrats intent upon turning us into the KGB because Tom was an idiot/set up" plan?

(I'm hyper. I will admit this. Spooks!! I'm spending the whole day with Meg tomorrow... pity her with me in this mood!)

[identity profile] melwil.livejournal.com 2005-07-22 01:20 pm (UTC)(link)
I was jumping around all day - the other teachers didn't quite know what to make of it . . .

I think their initial plan would have been in place if anyone tried to interfere with their operations. They would have a code and a meeting place and as many of them as could would make it there to figure out what to do next

[identity profile] sangerin.livejournal.com 2005-07-22 01:30 pm (UTC)(link)
It's been a sucky few days for me: it feels good to be this happy, actually.

I so have to re-watch either tomorrow or Sunday. And then write fic. Which fic, I'm not sure yet. But fic.

And am I right - was that Maggie Smith in the preview?

[identity profile] melwil.livejournal.com 2005-07-22 01:31 pm (UTC)(link)
*shrug* I don't know

I'm just excited to finally be seeing it. It just tops off a rather good day

[identity profile] sangerin.livejournal.com 2005-07-22 01:33 pm (UTC)(link)
Hooray for good days. ~hugs you~

You should have seen my class this morning. 29 heads bent over writing activities. Not a peep from any of them. My supervising teacher was in shock when she came in the room

[identity profile] sangerin.livejournal.com 2005-07-22 01:45 pm (UTC)(link)
Wow! I bet the supervising teacher was so impressed.

The kids wanted to break a class record on the 'Good Workers' board - they get their name up for good work/behaviour - last record was 19 students, today they managed 25
