The weekends come, the weekends go
Well it's Sunday, a lazy Sunday because I have no work. Mum left on Friday and should now be in New Orleans, surrounded by mad doll and teddy bear types - who'll all want to know how my Grandmother (who was the international regional director for a few years) is.
My grandmother, for those who have been following the story, went home from hospital on Friday.
Dancing also went back on Friday and we're now heading into our most stressful time of the year. Look out for crazed dance teacher Melina - she's a very wierd creature *g*. One student came back with a broken arm (her cousin pushed her down a hill) and another came back after surgery to have a lazy eye corrected (it went well and she seems very happy), but otherwise they were all the same.
Matt and I walked up to the video place yesterday and ended up borrowing Wonder Boys and Blazing Saddles (We had one choice each. Can you guess who chose what?), and I found an ex-rental copy of Gosford Park (squee!) which I'll probably throw on later today.
By the way, Wonder Boys is a great movie for anyone struggling to write. It's a good movie, regardless, but especially good from a writer's point of view.
Also,
missmartin I have your books for you, rescued from ye olde Peachester town *g*. I'll give them to Liz when I work with her during the week.
This was an entirely useless post. I'm going to read the news headlines, then I'm going to write.
